Visakhapatnam: Hetero Infrastructure SEZ Ltd established in 2007 at Nakkapalli, about 80 km from Visakhapatnam has exported various pharmaceutical products worth Rs 631 crore during the first quarter of 2021-22 with sale into DTA to the order of Rs 136 crore.
From 2017-18 till June, 2021, Hetero has made a revenue of Rs 10,438 crore out of which cumulative export stood at Rs 9,302 crore with a DTA sales of Rs 1136 crore.
Hetero establishment comes under the jurisdiction of Visakhapatnam Special Economic Zone (VSEZ). All the SEZs in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Chhattisgarh and Yanam (part of Puducherry Union Territory) come under the administrative control of VSEZ headquartered here at Duvvada. VSEZ Development Commissioner A. Ram Mohan Reddy told Bizz Buzz on Thursday that Hetero SEZ has three units namely, Hetero Drugs Ltd Unit-IX, Hetero Labs Ltd Unit-IX and Honour Lab Ltd. The SEZ is spread over 250 acres. The zone provides employment to nearly 3,667.
